September News

Hello Readers and Visitors,

First, I’d like to thank those who stopped by and left comments on my Read a Romance Month blog post last month. My apologies if you weren’t able to comment. My website has been acting a bit wonky and for some reason is not showing a place to comment. I’m working on a fix, so if you need to or want to leave me a comment or message feel free to do so through my contact page.

The winner of  the Girls of Thompson Lake box set was Sue Galuska. Congratulations Sue!PJSharon_TheGirlsOfThompsonLake3DBoxSet_200px

September is shaping up to be a lovely…and very busy month. I’m finishing up the first draft of OVERCOME your SEDENTARY LIFESTYLE (A Practical Guide to Improving Health, Fitness, and Well-being for Desk Dwellers and Couch Potatoes), which is set for release in January of 2016. My beta readers are anxiously awaiting their chance to read it ahead of everyone and my photographer is chomping at the bit to get the photo shoot done, which is scheduled in a few weeks. I’m getting so excited! This project has been a dream of mine for a long time and it’s finally coming together.

PJSharon_OvercomeYourSedentaryLifestyle_eCover_2500[1]I was recently interviewed about the book on a radio program called Alternatively Speaking with Dr. Saskia Cote. The interview airs Wednesday, September 2, from 6-7 on Valley Free Radio WXOJ-LP, 103.3, out of Northampton, MA. You can tune in and listen here on Wednesday evening, or catch the broadcast on Dr. Cote’s website afterward here. She and her co-host were very welcoming and we had a great time talking about alternative health and ways to improve the quality of our lives.

I’m currently working on the final section of the book which will have a list of staple pantry items, my weekly grocery must have’s, and recipes for smoothies I can’t live without. If you have any suggestions or healthy food recipes you’d like to submit for inclusion in my book (you’ll get full credit, of course), please feel free to contact me either through the comments section below (if it’s up and running), my contact page, or email me directly at pjsharon64@gmail.com

No worries for my YA fiction loving fans, I’m also working on my first Savage Cinderella Novella, called FINDING HOPE. I’m shooting for a November or early December release, so stay tuned!

PJSharon_PiecesOfLove_800pxOn another happy note, PIECES of LOVE is a finalist in the 2015 Heart of Denver Romance Writer’s ASPEN GOLD contest. I’ll find out later this month if I won! If you haven’t read this one, it’s the perfect sweet summer romance. Here’s the short blurb but you can read more here, including an excerpt from the book.

Sixteen year-old Alexis Hartman wants nothing more than to play her guitar and get high, hoping to escape the pain of losing her sister. But when her second arrest for pot possession leads to her mother’s breakdown, Lexi is sent to stay with her grandmother for the summer. While embarking on a Mediterranean cruise hardly sounds like punishment, being forced to face her demons and falling for a guy she may never see again gives Lexi a chance to discover what it means to love someone—even when you have to let them go.

So that’s pretty much it! Back to my writing cave (with an occasional break for a kayak paddle and some Grammy time with my sweet pea. Hope all is well in your world. If you have (or are) teenagers returning to school, check out my Healthy Teen Tips page for advice on a smooth transition.

Peace and blessings,
