Hello Dear Readers,
I hope you’re all enjoying your summer and this fine stretch of weather we’re having…at least here in New England. I’ve been a bit out of touch these past weeks. A gruelingly busy but fun camping trip with the family was followed by one of my back blowouts that knocked me off my feet for several days. I hate when that happens! Thankfully, I bounced back quickly with the help of my health care teammates and lots of ice, e-stim, gentle stretching, and rest.
If you suffer from chronic back pain, you know how quickly life can be derailed by one wrong move. Even when we do everything “right,” there are no guarantees we’ll be spared the occasional mishap that drops us to our knees and strikes fear in our hearts. It’s natural to go into panic mode, wondering if you’ll ever get better and thinking that this is how life will be from now on. If not treated properly, back pain can put you out of commission for weeks or even months. With proper care, I’ve gotten it down to about four days to full recovery. Now that I’m back up to snuff, I’ll be working on Book #2 in my SAVAGE CINDERELLA NOVELLA series–working title–“LOST BOYS.” In book 1, FINDING HOPE, Brinn, Justin, Cody, and Dani are pulled into a human trafficking ring and risk their lives to save young Hope Chandler from kidnappers. When Cody goes missing in book 2, Brinn, Justin, and Dani travel to Columbia on a dangerous rescue mission. But what they find when they get there draws them into the jungles of South America on a search for a group of missing boys and brings them face to face with a powerful and deadly foe.
I’m hoping to have the second novella out by year’s end!
